How does the class look like?

Robolink1

Grade 1-3: Lego Simple Machine

Students use various building elements, motors and sensors, to build simple machines and robots, and then control them to complete tasks and solve challenges. A sample Robolink 1 project can be seen here.

Robolink2

Grade 3-6: Lego NXT Mindstorms

Using provided Lego Mindstorms NXT motors, sensors, and building elements, students build simple machines and robots. A sample Robolink 2 project can be seen here.

Robolink3

Grade 6-8: VEX IQ robotics

Using provided VEX IQ motors, sensors, and building elements, students build simple machines and robots. A sample Robolink 3 project can be seen here.

 

 

 

Afterschool Robolink

What: Robolink 1 Introduction to LEGO® Machine
Where: Your school
When: @ 3:15 to 4:15 PM
Age: 6 to 8
Cost: $140, tax included

Robolink is an exciting introduction to fundamental engineering. Students work in pairs to learn mechanical design, construction, and teamwork. Using building blocks and motors from LEGO® and Power Function, students build a variety of simple machines and robots. Then, they solve challenges by controlling the machine to move and react.

Refund PolicyRefunds will not be issued for non-attendance at a scheduled class. Refund for classes cancelled by the instructor will be issued at the end of the course.

CancellationsRobokids reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment. Upon cancellation, a full refund will be made less classes already completed.

Dismissal PolicyAuthorized Parents/Caregivers (at least 16 years of age) must sign children out of programs. The child will only be released to authorized persons on your information list. We will send children to the school office 5 minutes before the end of class.

Class ConductRobokids reserves the right to release, without refund of program fees, any child whose behaviour becomes disruptive and unmanageable. The class has a zero tolerance policy on violence. Children who intentionally harm others or damage another person’s property will be released.

Personal BelongingsRobokids highly discourages students from bringing any valuable items such as an iPad or personal LEGO® models or mini-figures. Robokids is NOT responsible for damages or loss of any personal property while in a class.

Do students get to keep the model?Since we use our supplies in classes and camps throughout the year, students do not take home projects or pieces.

What ages are the classes for?The Robolink Level 1 classes are suitable for elementary-aged children in Grades 1-3.

The Robolink Level 2 classes are suitable for elementary-aged children in Grades 4-6.
